Penerapan Prinsip-prinsip Kearifan Lokal terhadap Perencanaan Fasilitas Agroindustri Kelapa di Kota Banjar

Abstract

Banjar City, located in West Java Province, has great potential in the development of the coconut agro-industry sector due to its vast plantation land and the diversity of superior coconut varieties such as deres and hybrid coconuts. However, planning agro-industry facilities often faces challenges in integrating production efficiency with environmental sustainability and preserving local wisdom values. This study aims to examine the application of local wisdom principles in the planning of coconut agro-industry facilities in Banjar City. This approach involves analyzing local community activity patterns, local materials used, and the relationship with Sundanese cosmology, which includes the concepts of Buana Nyuncung, Buana Panca Tengah, and Buana Larang. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, involving field observations, and literature studies on Sundanese traditional cosmology.
