Abstract

Due to the greenhouse effect's contribution to global warming, architects are now beginning to understand the significance of designing sustainable buildings. Sustainable architecture is architecture that is aware of the surrounding environment. Sustainable buildings must prioritize the environment as a primary concern and energy use, but still think about the comfort of space users. The formulation of this design problem is how to design a sustainable building based on the principles of sustainable architecture while still paying attention to the comfort of space users. The data collection method is observational on existing buildings and exploratory, obtained from studying documents related to sustainable architecture. In this design, the application of sustainable architecture is carried out by optimizing the use of demolition materials, optimizing health and comfort (natural lighting, visual, and thermal comfort), using natural energy sources (solar panels), and providing waste sorting.
